Catch Me If
You Can! is a Tiny Watt Games
series designed to help school
aged kids
practice and learn Mandarin Chinese.
Each game lets the player listen to and chase after words and phrases
which are drawn from a single topic of interest. He or she
listens actively to the words and their sequence, learning how they are
used to make sentences that are idiomatic, colloquial and
relevant. By mastering the gameplay, the player improves
listening comprehension, and acquires the idioms naturally.
While the goal of the game is to catch all the phrases and sentences
presented, the player advances in the game at his/her own pace and can
replay as many times as desired. The player can choose to listen
to the phrase word by word, or listen to the whole sentence, or have
only visual cues. In addition, the player can freely explore the
sound of each word and try to make phrases and sentences
independently.
